Andrew Duncan and Kaeley Bingham, aka the “Dynamic Duncan Duo,” were high school sweethearts who met while carpooling with friends to classes at National Park College.

After their first date at Nom Noms Mexican Grill, the couple attended the premiere of “Paranormal Activity 2” where Andrew asked Kaeley to be his girlfriend in front of all of their friends. A year later, he blindfolded her and drove her back to the movie theater parking lot where he presented her with a promise ring.

“He actually blindfolded me so I wouldn’t know where we were going,” she said. “I still wear it on my right hand sometimes. It’s my second favorite ring — right next to my wedding rings.”

Andrew and Kaeley both have large families — he has two brothers and a sister and she has three sisters — and Kaeley said, luckily, the families have both accepted the other with open arms and all six siblings were involved in the wedding party.

Kaeley began to convince herself that a marriage proposal would never come, she said, because any time she would bring their future up, Andrew would simply reply, “I have a plan,” and say nothing further. So, when he invited her on a trip with his family to Disney World, the thought never crossed her mind, as they’d been on vacations together before.
Andrew’s younger sister, Anika, convinced Kaeley to dress up on the night that Andrew announced they were going to see the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. With the outside temperature being close to scorching in Florida iIMG_3975n July, Kaeley said, “My hair was thrown into a bun and I barely had any makeup on, but my outfit was cute.”

After Tinkerbell zip-lined down from the castle, Kaeley was so entranced by the fireworks and the cartoons that were being projected onto the castle that she didn’t even notice Andrew get down on one knee in front of her.

“My famous first words were ‘are you serious?’” she said. “Of course I said yes. Come to find out, he’d already asked for my parents’ blessing, and my whole family knew about it beforehand. My parents and I are really close, so him asking them before he asked me was really special. And, if you knew my step dad, it was brave.”

The couple reside in Hot Springs with their fur-baby, a Pootalian (Italian greyhound/poodle mix) named Gino and are both attending college to get their business degrees.

The big day: November 21, 2015

Best Man and Maid of Honor: Taylor Duncan, the groom’s brother, was Best Man, and Chelcie Burns, the bride’s sister, and Gissel Torres, the bride’s high school best friend, were Maids of Honor.

The location: The Porterhouse Club.

The reception: The Porterhouse Club. The Porterhouse catered the meal, Taste of Eden provided the wedding cake and Central Arkansas Entertainment served as DJ.

The look: The wedding colors were burgundy and Champagne. The maids of honor wore burgundy IMG_3816dresses and the groomsmen wore tan suits and burgundy ties. Lots of little things, such as burgundy napkins and burgundy-colored paper for guests to write memories of the couple on incorporated the colors into the wedding. The only flower arrangement was the bridal bouquet, done by Hot Springs Floral. The bridesmaids carried lanterns and the table settings were cylinders with floating tea lights.

The dress: Empire-style ivory dress from David’s Bridal. “Even though I had to try on a few, once I tried this one on I knew it was the right one. I’ve never worn something that fit me so perfectly,” Kaeley said.

Most unforgettable moment: It’s a tie between the first look and the exchanging of the vows. “The night as a whole was unforgettable,” Kaeley said.

The honeymoon: Eureka Springs Tree houses in a castle tree house. The outside looks like a castle and the inside is designed like a castle and the couple have already vowed to go back every year for their anniversary.
