Outdated and damaged tile transformed into bright and elegant craftsmanship
Clay and Amy Birdsell moved into their new house in June 2015 and chose to renovate areas of the home that were outdated and damaged.
“We chose The Floor Store because in our previous house we bought new engineered hardwood flooring and carpet and were very pleased with the service and quality of products and work,” said Clay.
The renovated areas included the tile in the kitchen and the tile, countertops, sink and cabinets in an upstairs guest bathroom.
“We were able to pick out all the fixtures, tile and countertop that suited our taste,” Clay added. “We liked the white and gray granite that complimented the gray tile we picked out. The vessel sink added a somewhat modern look that is appealing to us.”
Clay and Amy said that the employees of The Floor Store were “flexible for the timing of the renovation,” as the couple was scheduled to be out of town during part of the renovation and no problems were caused by that.
“Carlton and Stephanie came to our house after we picked out some of the materials we wanted to give us a quote,” Clay said. “They were very nice and professional, as were the installers.”
He added that they were able to pick the type of granite they wanted after the purchase of the sink so that it would match their liking, in addition to the fixtures, tile and countertops.
Clay and Amy have two children, a 2-year-old and a 3-month-old, and both are pharmacists for Walgreens in Hot Springs. The family enjoys walking downtown and checking out the local shops and restaurants.
“Overall, The Floor Store is very accommodating and do quality work for a fair price,” Clay said. “The overall look of the new bathroom is completely what we both envisioned. The color combination paired with the new fixtures looks great. The tile in the kitchen really opened the kitchen up and made it look much brighter. We are very pleased with the finished product and the quality and craftsmanship of the work done shows!
